love this movie, the woman that plays Mary is such a good actress and the direction is skilled, no Mary is anywhere near her until the wonderful Nativity Story. their Mary and Joseph, although they look like these 2, are very different and also very good, high praise! now hears the rub, this was filmed in Tunisia and somehow a modern house ,with sloped roof, sliding windows and a chimney appears for just a second when Mary's running to go get engaged to Joseph, look right after the loom scene, enchanting how we first meet Mary, the next shot ,after the woman picks up and hands Mary her shawl the good woman forgot as she runs to get engaged, there is a screen ,modern house! ut is behind a cloths line with a group of cloths hung on it! this movie is so magnificent, but people ,especially kids, must be told no modern house like this existed in ancient Judea!i am being violated and tortured for being a 'goody', my vision is not good, i need 2 eye operations from a beating with a base ball bat when i tried to work in 2002.but i think i am right about this being a modern house, if i have miss seen the house, please say so, but it sure looks like this to me. the actress[Elizabeth] that plays Mary is so good, it is easy to miss this scene, her and Powell do a great job, overall good production! i enjoy every Christmas, and Easter! does anyone else see this?
